Strategies to promote the development of gross motor skills in children in fourth grade of General Basic Education.

The work analyzes the development of gross motor skills. Gross motor skills refers to the development and coordination of basic motor skills such as walking, running, jumping, throwing, crawling, and catching. It was carried out through a sample of fourth grade children selected from different schools, using standardized assessment tools to identify the problem. Then lesson plans were developed that were very useful to understand the difficulties faced by students in relation to the development of their gross motor skills. Subsequently, a theoretical framework was carried out that provided a basis for the elaboration and execution of the project. The main objective of the project is to identify effective strategies to promote the development of gross motor skills in fourth-year students in the post-pandemic period. The results of the project indicated that many fourth graders had a low level of gross motor development. The findings showed the positive effects of these strategies. In conclusion, the project highlighted the importance of promoting gross motor development in fourth-graders. It was recommended to implement educational programs that include adequate physical activities and provide family support to promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
