The children's story: a pedagogical tool to strengthen reading in the fourth grade of General Basic Education.

The research entitled: The children's story: interesting pedagogical tool to strengthen reading in the fourth grade of Basic General Education; Its general objective is: To determine the influence of children's stories in strengthening the reading of the fourth parallel grade "A" of EGB of the Filomena Mora de Carrión School, Period 2022-2023. In the theoretical framework, topics related to children's stories and reading were addressed. The methodology was based on the use of scientific, statistical, inductive, descriptive, analytical and synthetic methods. To obtain information, the teacher was interviewed and the children were given the Magallanes reading evaluation, which allowed diagnosing the errors in what the children incur when reading. The population investigated includes a teacher and twenty-six children. The results allow us to determine that substitution and hesitation are the errors that children make when reading. To support the strengthening of reading in children, the proposal "To live an adventure you need reading" was designed and applied. It is recommended that teachers consider the use of children's stories aimed at strengthening reading, considered one of the essential aspects for the acquisition of future learning.
