Self-esteem in interpersonal relationships of tenth-year students of the José Isaac Montes Basic Education School

It is important and necessary to consider that students, in the adolescent stage, may present problems of self-esteem and interpersonal relationships, often influenced by the social environment in which they find themselves, since they compare their situation or their person with that of others, seeking to be admitted or approved by the rest of the adolescents. The objective of the research was "to determine the incidence of self-esteem in interpersonal relationships in students of the tenth year "A" of the José Isaac Montes Basic Education School. A quantitative, descriptive-explanatory research was developed. The 29 students of the tenth year "A" of the José Isaac Montes Basic Education School were considered as the object of study. The main findings showed that 59% of the students show a regular level of self-esteem and in terms of interpersonal relationships, 50% have a low level, however, 43% have a medium level. It is concluded that self-esteem has a significant impact on interpersonal relationships in students of the tenth year "A" of the José Isaac Montes School of Basic Education.
