This paper explains what the virtual and decentralized organization and management model implemented by the Venezuelan digital media Runrunes (www.runrun.es) consisted of in order to keep its newsroom active and continue generating relevant content for its audience during 2020, despite the difficulties of mobility and access to the newsroom as a result of the confinement decreed throughout the country. It arises from a conversation with members of its Editorial Board and begins with a characterization of the media, founded in 2010 and whose stated purpose is "We are passionate about going to the bottom and telling stories with personality that expose injustices, reveal facts of corruption and denounce abuses of power" and describes the situation of the media in the Venezuelan context for 2020. It describes the management model with which the situation was faced, the work routines that were defined and aims to demonstrate its usefulness, pointing out the lessons learned in light of the results obtained in terms of the metrics of the portal and its social networks. To this end, the performance reports of the media during the year were reviewed and interviews will be conducted with the members of the Editorial Board. The performance indicators established are the number of users, the number of pages published, the origin of the traffic, the number of pages viewed in general and those of the own agenda. A comparison is made, in relative terms, of the metrics of the media and its social networks in 2020 with the previous year. Finally, recommendations are made to incorporate routines of the virtual management model to an eventual return to normality.
