Abstract

The new information and communication technologies (Icts) have generated in recent decades numerous opportunities in terms of training environments. In the Argentine context it has become necessary to envision academic innovation scenarios that allow the creation and flexibility of knowledge and it has been essential to devise new postulates in student-oriented learning and instruction, in which the use of new technologies in the classroom is encouraged. To think about the formation of the federal security forces (Gendarmería, Prefectura, Federal Police and Airport Security Police), in a country as large as Argentina and to present it in person is almost impossible. The forces are deployed throughout the national territory and their personnel are mobile, constantly changing assignments. This makes it very difficult to pretend to provide a classroom education that is continuous. From this difficulty and with the need to deepen the formation of forces from a perspective of the new paradigm of citizen security, is that the undersecretary of planning and training of the Ministry of Security has been developing training strategies with short face-to-face courses.
