The use of the green seal as an improvement strategy in the food companies of the city of Latacunga, implies the implementation of practices and policies oriented towards environmental sustainability and product quality. This approach seeks not only to comply with environmental norms and standards, but also to differentiate companies in the market through their commitment to responsible practices. The adoption of the green seal implies a number of benefits. First, it improves the company's image by showing its commitment to protecting the environment and the health of consumers. In addition, it encourages innovation in production processes and in the choice of materials, which can lead to long-term cost reduction. Certification can also open up new market opportunities, as consumers increasingly value sustainable and ethical products. To successfully implement the green seal, companies must conduct thorough assessments of their current practices and make the necessary adjustments to meet the required standards. This may involve changes in the supply chain, waste management, the use of renewable energy and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices, among other aspects.
