Abstract

The second issue of the Invecom Journal of the year 2021, assumes the challenge of presenting the product of research work completed in the midst of a complicated and rarefied environment due to the severe restrictions to the social approach, a climate of social political uncertainty and the loss of valuable human lives suffered particularly in our Latin America due to the pandemic. It is significant and somehow hopeful to continue with the work and the assigned task in spite of such circumstances. It is for this reason that in principle we want to raise awareness with all those who lost family and friends in this terrible epidemic that plagues humanity and especially our peoples. In this opportunity, we have compiled some very interesting and diverse works. We begin the publication with the members of the OBSCOM/CEPOS group of CNPQ, all professors of the Federal University of Sergipe -Brazil. Cesar BOLAÑO, Ricardo Siqueira SANTOS and Verlane Aragão. The text, product of the research of this accredited research team, "Theoretical-methodological considerations on the history of the field of the Political Economy of Communication and Culture". It analyzes foundational theoretical elements on the history of the Brazilian Political Economy of Communication and Culture (EPC), from the field of Communication. It addressed issues of history and epistemology of the disciplinary field. It included a summary on the study of the periodization of one of the most common objects of Brazilian PCE, the television market.
